I received my bachelor and master degrees in mathematics in my hometown, Tehran, from Sharif University of Technology(SUT) and University of Tehran(UT), respectively. My admirable master supervisor was Prof. Siamak Yassemi. During my master, I was an exchange student at Paris 6 (UPMC) and Paris 7 (Paris Diderot) universities and I spent one Pre-Ph.D. year in the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in beautiful Trieste.

I completed my doctoral study in the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MPI MIS) under the supervision of my beloved advisor Prof. Bernd Sturmfels. In the last two years of my Ph.D. program, I had the chance to join the geometry group of the Leipzig university and to assist teaching several bachelor and master courses. I truly enjoyed my years of Leipzig and now I have many nonlinear algebra friends and colleagues all around the world and several geometer friends who I can still visit in Leipzig.

Since December 2020, I started my first postdoctoral position in the Goethe University in Frankfurt. I work in the group of Prof. Thorsten Theobald and currently we are working on imaginary projection of complex conics. I am very much looking forward to the end of the lockdown so that I can finally see my new colleagues, hear more about their research, go on a hike with them, hopefully have some boardgames events and explore Frankfurt and its many cultures.
